The school’s computer and communication network provides state-of-the-art computing facilities and broadband Internet connectivity. Apart from three full-fledged Computer labs, the Learning Centre also as computing facility to assist students in projects and research assignments.
Computer education is an integral part of the curriculum at DPS-MIS. The three state-of the art computer laboratories with 120 systems is very popular with the students. Students are trained to learn the latest software applications and programming languages. The school offers computer education from Grade I to Grade XII. The highly qualified teachers impart the knowledge of computers and fully equip the students for the challenges of the computer age.
Computer sessions and Network access are monitored and supervised by computer teachers who aid and guide the children through the sessions. In computer education, emphasis is on concept formation rather than merely providing information. At primary and middle level, the students are trained to use computers with focus on application software like Picture Maker, Logo and Paint.
They are also trained to use MS-Office applications like MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point, etc. Students are given hands-on experience to work on this software. Secondary school students are introduced to hardcore programming through object-oriented programming language C++, Visual Basic Python, Java and Web Designing.
Computer Science prescribed by the CBSE is offered as an optional subject to students at the Senior Secondary level.
