VATSAL PATEL ALUMUS 2014 BATCH INTERACTS VIRTUALLY ON ROBOTICS WITH CURRENT GRADE IX-XII STUDENTS – 2020-21

DPS Modern Indian School Alumni Association organised an Alumni Interaction Programme on 15th July 2020 when alumnus Vatsal Patel (Batch 2014) had a live interaction session. The event was attended by the Vice President Mr. Yasir Nainar , Principal Ms. Asna Nafees, Vice Principals Ms. Soma Bhattacharjee and Ms. Mary Cruz along with all coordinators and team of teachers. The participants of the programme were students from IX-XII.
After completing graduation and master’s from the University of California, Berkeley, currently, Vatsal is pursuing his PhD at Yale University in mechanical engineering mainly focused on robotics.

The event began with welcoming the guest along with the motivating speech of the principal. Vatsal had given an insight with his talk titled ‘Robotics in real life’ to the various fields within robotics and how in the coming years robots would be a huge part of workforce. He had also shown how robots would help a great deal in surgeries. Towards the end of the interaction, there was question and answer session where Vatsal had answered the questions of the curious minds- students.

The event ended with the speech of the vice president Mr .Yasir Nainar followed by the vote of thanks. Altogether, it was knowledge enriching where students as well as teachers had learned even more about the field of robotics. “By rendering the service to the alma mater Vatsal can assist his teachers and connect with the young minds by providing a first- hand experience.” The principal commented.
