The alumni association of DPS Modern Indian School proudly hosted an enlightening event, AlumniTalk, on September 25th, 2023, featuring Mr. Jaideep Singh Soodan as the esteemed resource person. The event aimed to foster a sense of mentorship and guidance among the current students, helping them make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
Mr. Soodan, a distinguished member of the graduating batch of 2019, shared his insights on the topic “Chemical Engineering: Myths vs Reality.” Drawing from his personal experiences and academic journey, he debunked common misconceptions surrounding the field of Chemical Engineering, offering a realistic perspective to the eager audience.
After completing his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore, Mr. Soodan is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA. His remarkable achievements and dedication to the field served as an inspiration to the attending students.
During the interactive session, Mr. Soodan engaged the audience with anecdotes from his own academic pursuits, highlighting the challenges and triumphs of studying Chemical Engineering. He emphasized the importance of passion, perseverance, and continuous learning in navigating the complexities of the field.
