Ms. Devika Rajeev from the batch of 2010 talked at ‘AlumniTalk’ on 9th of March 2022, on the topic “Paving the way to success through Commerce”. The event started with the welcome address of the Principal and the Vice-Principals.
Ms. Devika shared her success story with the current students and explained how choosing commerce in high school opened up doors of opportunities for her. She got her undergraduate and MBA degree from Symbiosis Pune. She went to the international university of Geneva to pursue a Masters in Trade Policy to achieve her dream of working at the UN.
She now works as an Associate Program Officer in trade policy at the International Trade Centre in Geneva, a joint organization of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations.
She had inspired the students in a unique way which left them asking abundance of questions related to the commerce field and her work. The stigma against commerce was well discussed at the event, which made younger students think about taking commerce in the 11th grade.
The event was a grand success where students learnt valuable things that would help them make important decisions regarding their career in the future.
