DPS Modern Indian School Alumnus Janisha Shaikh, from the Batch 2020, has successfully completed her 10-day Internship Programme from May 8th to May 22nd, 2023. “The Teaching Internship Programme” is an initiative by the school which assists alumni in giving back to their institution.
Janisha was assigned to teach Class VII Science, covering various topics related to the field of Biology. To enhance teaching lessons, she used power-point presentations and pre and post-lesson activities, incorporating the knowledge she gained from her education at the University of British Columbia.
“It was extremely rewarding to get an opportunity to give back to my alma mater of 7 years. This experience was an eye-opener as it allowed me to see the other side of the school, where I was now in the role of a teacher instead of a student. Throughout my time there, it was very fulfilling to witness students interact with me both inside and outside of class. This experience has taught me invaluable skills that I will continue to utilise throughout my life” commented Janisha.
